Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost?

2012 fees are yet to be confirmed. The course this year will run over 3 days, with the option to choose which day(s) you attend. Therefore the pricing structure will differ slightly from 2011, but as a guide, the fees for 2 days last year were: £275 for Day Attendees, including lunch and refreshments on both days; £375 for Residential Attendees to include overnight accommodation and all meals during the course.

Can I pay by credit card?

Sorry, no, there is no provision for payment by credit card nor via the website. Please arrange to make payment by cheque.

Who do I make the cheque out to?

Cambridge Dementia Course.

May I have a receipt for my fees?

Yes, it will be in your welcome pack.

Can I book a provisional place?

Your application should normally be accompanied by a cheque and preference is always given to applications accompanied by the full fee. However, you may request that your name be put provisionally on the list, and the place will be held for one week. Please note that your place is not guaranteed until your cheque has arrived.

May I stay the night before?

Yes. The current rate is £78 (£65+VAT). Ask the Course administrator to arrange this for you. Payment (to Cambridge Dementia Course) will be required at the time of booking.

What time does the course start and finish?

In previous years the course has started at 9.30am with a welcome cup of coffee while you collect your welcome pack, with the first lecture at 10.00. It finished about 5.00pm.

I have special dietary needs - eg vegetarian, Vegan, no beef ... Can these be catered for?

Yes, no problem. Please indicate any special needs on the application form.

Accreditation points?

Yes, 12 points. The course is accredited with the Royal College of Physicians. You will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the course.
